Kyle Herbrand won the UW-Oshkosh Open on Friday. He settled into fourth place early in the 8,000 meter race before picking up the pace during the middle miles. Herbrand worked his way up to the leader and overtook him in mile 4. He cruised to a 19-second lead and the win in 27:05. This was Herbrand s first collegiate cross country win. The race featured 63 runners and five teams.
