The UW-Platteville Cross Country teams opened the season at the Tom Hoffman Invitational hosted by UW-Whitewater. Many runners used the competition partly as a training race with many of the Pioneer runners running in pairs.
The UW-Platteville Men s and Women sTrack and Field teams were acknowledged by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association as All-Academic Teams.
